The concept "onboarding" refers to the process a new employee goes through when starting a new job. Here, the employee needs to be integrated into the workplace so that they feel comfortable and ready for the new role, tasks and responsibilities.
As an HR manager, consultant or leader, it gives you an insight into which areas are important and which are less important to the employee. It also means that the areas the employee scores highest on will be more important in an onboarding process than those the employee scores low on.
