Person analyses and person profiles

Person Analysis is a non-discriminatory tool for analysing behaviour type and motivation. The result is a common expression that provides better self-awareness, where your own behaviour is adapted to the behavioural type of others. This is why the persona analysis is also called a person profile.

The persona analysis provides understanding and insight into the behaviour and motivation of the employee or job candidate. The flexible reporting options allow you to use the tool in any situation, focusing on communication, behaviour, leadership, teamwork and motivation.

The Person Analysis is an analysis tool on the FinxS platform. The analysis is based on Extended DISC® Behavioural Profiling, which is based on behavioural theories that have been in use for over 80 years. They are based on the foundation developed by Dr Carl Gustav Jung.

The letters DISC represent the four overarching behaviour types: Dominance, Influence, Stability and Control.

What characterises the 4 types of behaviour?

The Extended DISC ® personal profile consists of a total of 4 main behavioural types. Most of us have a combination of 2 or 3 of these behaviour types. It is important to know the behavioural types in order to be able to effectively target communication with, for example, an employee, your own manager or a team. Below are some additional comments on what characterises each behaviour type.

If you know the terminology, communication and workflows become less random, it becomes clearer what should be communicated and what motivates the individual. If the tasks are far from the type of behaviour preferred by the individual, motivation will weaken faster.

Knowledge that can be used actively in everyday life for both employees and managers, but also to shed light on how a job applicant will feel about upcoming tasks.

Applications for Extended DISC® person analyses

Extended DISC® personal analysis is used in a variety of situations that require an understanding of human behaviour, preferred communication style and motivational factors.

    Sales and communication

With insight and understanding of behaviour and motivation, you have the tools to target your message more precisely in sales processes. This gives you a greater chance of success and avoiding the roadblocks that exist with each behavioural type.
For example, it can be used in the sales department, customer service as well as improving teamwork and minimising conflict at all levels.

    Recruitment

An obvious tool to use on job applicants. How does the behavioural type fit into the team they will be part of, and should they even be doing tasks that motivate them on a daily basis?
Here you get a tool that minimises the risk of costly mis-hires by staying ahead of the behaviour and motivation of the target person.
FinxS and Extended DISC are integrated with our online recruitment system, so you can send out persona analyses directly from the system. Read more about the recruitment system here.

    Management

Use persona analyses / Extended DISC persona profiles and terminology as an active management tool to improve communication between managers and employees. As a manager, it's crucial to be able to personalise and deliver the message as optimally as possible.
In other words, Extended DISC becomes a tool that is unconsciously used as a communication tool in the organisation: A common language that is implemented in everyday life.
