Sports Competence Assessment
Sports Assessment – FinxS® has been developed for elite athletes and their coaches at professional, semi-professional and national level. The assessment provides a clear overview of the athlete’s sporting behaviour and skills, whilst identifying key strengths and areas for development. At the same time, the analysis offers concrete insights into how the athlete can best develop, manage challenges and optimise their performance in both training and competition – with the clear aim of realising their full potential.
Sporting skills and mindset factors
Gain insight into the athlete’s focus, decision-making speed and ability to process information under pressure
Can the athlete maintain momentum in training and competition – even when the opposition steps up
How does the athlete react mentally to mistakes, setbacks and pressure
What is the athlete’s mental resilience and sense of responsibility for their own development
The athlete’s greatest strengths and potential to perform at the highest level
How the coach can best develop and motivate the individual athlete
A detailed overview of the athlete’s potential
Sport Assessment provides a clear overview of the athlete’s greatest strengths as well as the areas where there is potential for development.
As a coach, you will gain a deeper insight into the athlete’s skills, mindset and behaviour during both training and competition. The assessment provides a data-driven basis for a more targeted approach to development, mental training and performance optimisation.
For coaches, this means a stronger foundation for individual coaching and a better understanding of what motivates each athlete. The result is more focused training, better development pathways and a greater opportunity to realise the athlete’s full potential.
Development of athletes and teams
Sport Assessment can be used both for individual athlete development and for analysing teams and training environments.
The assessment provides insight into:
The athlete’s strengths and areas for development
How best to motivate and develop individual athletes
How training can be tailored to improve performance
The result is stronger individual performance, better team dynamics and a more strategic approach to talent development.

Sport Assessment, including the key sporting competencies, mental factors and performance behaviours that the assessment measures.
The e-learning module also introduces how the results are applied in practice to: individual athlete development, performance analysis, coaching and training planning This ensures that all participants arrive well-prepared for the certification course and derive maximum benefit from the training.

Key sporting skills
Sport Assessment provides a clear and detailed overview of where an athlete’s greatest strengths lie and where there is potential for development. The analysis offers insight into the athlete’s skills, mindset and performance behaviour in both training and competition, and creates a solid, data-driven foundation for targeted development and performance optimisation
At the same time, coaches and athletes gain a better understanding of which factors have the greatest impact on performance, and how these can be developed through targeted training, coaching and mental preparation. This makes it easier to prioritise the right areas of focus and work more strategically on the athlete’s development.
The assessment identifies the athlete’s strengths and areas for development across a range of key competencies, including:
Strengths & Areas for Development
● Focus and concentration
● Decision-making under pressure
● Mental resilience
● Motivation and ambition
● Ability to learn from mistakes
Strengths & Areas for Development
● Competitiveness
● Strategic thinking
● Teamwork and team spirit
● Structure and discipline in training
● Performing under pressure
The athlete's mindset
The Sport Assessment also measures the mental building blocks that are often developed through upbringing, experiences and the training environment. These factors have a significant impact on how the athlete approaches training, handles pressure and performs in competition. At the same time, the assessment identifies the athlete’s performance style and approach to competition. Some athletes perform best within a structured framework, whilst others perform best with freedom and flexibility in their approach to training and competition.
These factors influence, amongst other things:
Motivation
Gain an insight into the athlete’s inner drive and what fuels their desire to perform.
Perseverance
Focus on the athlete’s ability to maintain their commitment and effort over time.
Reaction to adversity
An understanding of how athletes cope mentally with mistakes and setbacks.
Ambition & drive
Assessing the athlete’s goals and determination to reach the top.
Adapt training methods
Tailoring the training to suit the athlete’s individual needs and style.
Optimising coaching
Tools for coaches to enhance dialogue and motivation among individuals.
Creating better conditions for top performance
Identifying the optimal conditions for stable, high performance.
